Leeming ‘Galah’ Day
Friday 5th Nov 2021 , 28 teams of 4 (112 participants) attended our Gala Day representing 15 different clubs from metro and Peel regions. Some players had never been to Leeming before and commented on how lovely our grounds and club was.
The competition was run using the Skins format of 2 games of 10 ends played in the morning, teams graded from 1 to 28 and then the last game after lunch 1 game of 10 ends where every team played off for a stake of the prize money.
After the game we had many people commenting on how much fun it was, and if we ran this concept again they would definitely attend next year.
Needless to say, there was some lessons learnt, and a few tweaks to make sure the next one runs a little smoother.
