Inaugural Skins Tournament
The inaugural Leeming Skins Competition got under way in cold but near perfect conditions.
Sponsored by DR Jags Krishnan, MLA Member for Riverton and with a field of 28 teams from Yanchep in the north to Waroona in the south and York in the east the qualifying games began on lightning fast greens.
After qualifying was completed, lunch was taken and the order of play for the Skins game was announced.
The Krajancic composite team played the Jimmy Buchanan team from Yanchep for $60 per end and from what I saw it was a belter of a game.
The second placed teams of G.Boyes and P. Dobie both from Leeming played for $40 per end in another close encounter.
Michael Bridge from Cockburn played Alan Andersson from Leeming for $30 per end with the rest of the teams playing for varying amounts down to $10 per end.
Everyone was a winner on the day and the feedback from the players was that they enjoyed this format and were asking when is the next one
