Mixed Fours Sunday 21 July 2019

The Mixed Fours carnival played on Sunday 21st July was the largest carnival ever held at Leeming with 40 teams participating.  The day was overcast, blustery and with a few showers but we got through the day unscathed.
The day was played in good spirit and there were some very good bowls played.  The prize money was increased due to the number of entries and there were lots of raffle prizes on offer to our guests.  As is usual at Leeming, we had the ‘walk of shame’ for any wrong biases and fines for any property left on the greens which all goes into our Cancer Council tin.
The winners of the day with 6 points and 40 shots up were the Leeming team of Karl Vandersluys, Rob Bellis, Sue Neill and Sue Syme who took home $800. The runners up with 6 points and 38 shots up was a composite team of Amanda Masters, Sharn Saunders, Graeme Eades and ‘Big Willy’ and they took home $500. Third place with 6 points and 33 shots up went to another composite team of Norm Shannon, Keith Godfrey, Kerry Rush and S.Griffiths who took home $300.
We would like to thank everyone who attended especially the 27 visiting teams that made this day great.
